«Asterix et la potion magique»
The pixillated life is a challenge to the Gaulish village! This time, Getafix has been taken prisoner by the Romans, in a game inspired by the album Asterix the Gaul. The task at hand is to assemble the ingredients of a potion that makes hair grow faster, in order to deceive the Romans, who are obsessed with discovering the recipe for the real Magic Potion that confers invincibility.
The player controls three Gauls whose talents dovetail perfectly. Asterix, the cleverest one, has the ingenuity required to collect the ingredients for the hair tonic. Brawny Obelix is also an asset, but unfortunately, he tends to fall asleep when the supply of wild boar runs out (!!!). As for Cacofonix, he is the only one capable of vanquishing the fearsome music-loving Druid!
The game was sold in a box illustrated like the cover of an Asterix album and also featured a bonus in the form of an Asterix mini-puzzle. Better yet, the instructions included a short Asterix story entitled "In 50 BC." It was available only in black and white, but it was recreated in full colour for the greater delight of readers of Asterix and the Class Act, which was published in 2003.
