The Lusitanian Fethermyness is one of only a few “baddies” to feature on the cover of an Asterix album. Which is probably a great honour for this sly, spineless character whose only motivation is for Upwardlimobilus (another traitor – why are we not surprised!) to reward him with a huge domus and a fleet of slaves in recognition of his good and disloyal services. Fethermyness is the character plotting in the shadows, sneakily arranging for Umaminess to be imprisoned because his independent craft garum appeals to Caesar and is giving some unwanted competition to another producer: the vast Lupus Garum® corporation…
