Pearlclutcha and Oldogoltrix are a very colourful couple. These two cheerful Gauls are travelling far and wide in their cartavan and intend to make the most of life after many exhausting years in the Lutecian rat race… And don’t let anyone tell them they don’t deserve a leisurely retirement! In fact, don’t let anyone tell them anything about anything. They have a lot of opinions: on the customs, the scenery and the food in other countries. They don’t think anywhere is as good as Gaul, even though they sometimes find more or less acceptable alternatives. When Pearlclutcha and Oldogoltrix happen to meet Asterix and Obelix, they’re quick to help our two heroes because they may be a couple of grumpy old Gauls but they have hearts of gold.
