Gaumont, a powerful, disorganised monster, which co-produced the two films in 1985/86 with Dargaud, agrees to continue its film adventure with Asterix on the condition that it shares the production. Extrafilm is thus brought in, through the impetus given by its head, a Berlin senator and owner at the time of cinemas in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Extrafilm had made itself a solid reputation through the incredible popularity of Asterix films in the country. While it is not a simple undertaking, the production nonetheless results in the best Asterix cartoon film. From now on, the animation is pretty much on an American level!
