The Twelve Tasks celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2026
In 1976, an animated feature film destined to become a cult classic was released in cinemas: The Twelve Tasks of Asterix.
The last film directed by Albert Uderzo and René Goscinny, The Twelve Tasks of Asterix was the first feature-length Asterix film not to be adapted from a previously published comic album. For this project, Goscinny chose to build an original screenplay consisting of twelve comic episodes inspired by the Twelve Labours of Hercules.
It was a bold and ambitious gamble that paid off brilliantly. Fifty years after its release, the film remains one of the most frequently broadcast Asterix productions on television and continues to be cherished by generations of fans.
Available in VHS and DVD
