The year is 50BC. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans. Well, not entirely… One small village of indomitable Gauls is still holding out against the invaders.
A brave Gaul fears only one thing: the sky falling on his head… which is kind of unlikely. But with Obelix around, an unexpected falling menhir is always a possibility!
And that’s exactly what happens to poor Getafix – he’s hit right in the head by one… The shock makes him lose his memory. Until he recovers, the village is deprived of its magic potion and at the mercy of a Roman attack.
This is the perfect moment for Caesar to put his latest plan into action. He appoints Cassius Ceramix, a Romanized Gaulish chief, to challenge Chief Vitalstatistix to a big fight. If Vitalstatistix loses, the village will fall under Cassius Ceramix’s control, and into Roman hands.
It’s not the best time for our favorite chief to fall off his shield!
